Tome is an interactive, sound-based installation designed specifically for children and their grownups. Appearing as a strange, glowing, dome like object, participants are invited to create sound and light using proximity of hands and body to the object. Real-time sound compositions are generated while responsive splashes of colour are illuminated within each dome. Tome is part of a series of works exploring accessibility and interactive sound that encourages participants to explore and share the possibilities of creating immersive musical worlds together.
