I am Steph OHara, interactive sound artist.
As an independent artist I love to create flexible and responsive artworks that make connections and engage through sound and participation. My practice centres on the intersection between art and technology.
Based in Melbounre, Australia, I have worked as a freelancer artist across the globe, engineering, producing, designing, programming, performing with sound, software and hardware.
Working within theatres, museums, galleries, concert halls, performance spaces, schools, public spaces, mobile and the web along with prodigious creative companies, artists and communities to create, design, generate, support and learn whilst making art.
I love to collaborate, play, explore, build, discover, invent and produce small to large scale projects working with communities.
I seek to deepen my arts practice by focusing on inclusiveness, participation, public engagement, interactive and immersive experiences for all audiences.
I continue to develop my skills by engaging with community, creating intuitive, interactive sonic interfaces for creatives and audiences alike.
I continue to make and play, every day and night.
I also do it any other time.
I love it.
